Those are my boys. Caleb was baptized by his dad on the 6th. I'm so proud of him for being the kind and thoughtful person he's becoming. He's been looking forward to this for some time now.
In my church, we wait until a child is eight years old to be baptized because we believe that is when they can be held accountable and they understand the choice they are making when they get baptized.
I asked Caleb how he felt when he got baptized. Caleb said, "Really good except my pants were going up in the water. The water felt good though, I wish I could do it again."
When I asked him how he felt when he was confirmed, he said,"I felt like I was burning up in, a good way. Also everyone's hands felt really heavy." When you are confirmed, that is when you receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. It is done by men with the priesthood laying hands while one gives a blessing. In this case, it was Brad. Brad said that Caleb was slowly sliding off his chair, I guess those hands were really heavy.
I feel so blessed to have such wonderful person as a son. We love him dearly.

Congratulations Caleb! It was a great day and I'm glad I got to be there!
Congrats to Caleb. I wish we could have been there. That is so fun that you have his thoughts on the experience written down now, so you will always remember! He is such a sweet boy.
How funny, that is the SAME memory I have from my confirmation. All I can remember is how heavy everyone's hands were on my head. Way to go Caleb!!
Your little Caleb oozes sweetness and goodness. You can just feel it when he is around. What a great day. Congratulations Caleb!
