When Winter Was Fun

This is my least favorite time of the year. Most of the snow is gone, the grass is soggy, matted and a weird shade of grey/brown, it's still dark in the morning, it still gets dark early in the day, they sky is grey but there is no snow...I think you get the picture.

So, I thought I would share with you what we did on New Year's Day. The kids and I went to Huntsville to snowmobile with The Tripletts and their extended family. Brian's brother Doug, lives there and they had rented snowmobiles for the day to ride on their property. Brad stayed behind to fully enjoy the many bowl games on t.v. (Fully enjoy means to watch it on a big screen with his dad and brothers.)

It was a great day, if one got tired of the snowmobile, you could just go inside and eat, watch TV or play a game.

Brian likes speed, whether or not the people he's riding with like it too.

After a while, they built a ramp out of snow and the extreme tubing began (I was perfectly content just to watch)...

This is one of my all-time favorite pictures of Rachel.
This was all back when Winter was still fun. So Mother Nature, either snow some more or green up already!

I agree! I love the seasons, but please come soon spring! The sledding looks like so much fun though.
