Homecoming

Rachel went to her first Homecoming dance last weekend. She went with Colton Magnusson, a nice guy who actually asked her to homecoming the week before school started (he asked a month in advance!) Things sure have changed since I was the age to go to homecoming dances. The girls would wait in anticipation for the evening to come when their dates would come and they would go off on their dates. Nowadays, they have something called a "day date," which means that they do something during the day, they come home and get ready for the dance and then they are off again. They went with a group of 9 couples. Man, that is a lot of teenagers!

Here they are at 09:30 in the morning, they are off to Park City to play on the Zip Lines and the Alpine Slide.
She came home at about 4:30. We spent the next couple of hours curling hair, putting on makeup, and adjusting clothing.
She looks so very grown up and beautiful, don't you think? Then she and Colton drove away and had dinner and the dance.
Because Colton is on the student council, they had to clean up after the dance and they didn't get home until 12:45. I'm glad that they had fun.

I would comment more but I'm still wigging out on the fact that I have a child that is old enough to go to homecoming dances.

Wow! Rachel looks great - she is so beautiful (just like her mom).

She looks so pretty. I love her hair all curled! It's a strange feeling to see our children growing up. So quickly.
