Derek looks Secret Service showing up with his black suit and glasses. I had to include this picture because when they came to Caleb's baptism last December, his son Max went up to the stand and sang I Am a Child of God with other kids while wearing sunglasses. I had a neighbor ask me afterwards if there was something wrong with my nephew's eyes. Like father, like son.
After last minute primping and adjustments, we took family pictures with the professional photographer (which Sara, Rachel, Sydney and Emma developed a crush on and proceeded to pester him the rest of the night). Sorry about that, Matt Clayton, thanks for being such a good sport.
The Art Museum is a beautiful place to have a reception but it can be a tad stressful if you are the parent of a little one. I saw many a mom or dad follow kids around to avert a potential disaster. The most popular installation was the water works.
Reagan liked it so much that she wanted to become a part of it. We turned our backs on her for just a second and this is how we found her.
She didn't want to leave and any time Sam or Rachel tried to get her away from the water, screaming ensued. I thought it was highly amusing and cute, I'm not sure Sam or Rachel felt the same way. While Caroline and Trent were being good hosts, here are some of the things the rest of us were doing.
Brad enjoying the San Pelligrino water. I like San Pelligrino, Brad likes San Pelligrino. But the expression of the girl in the painting describes how most of the others felt about it.
At the end of the reception, everyone was pretty wiped out but we all had a good time. Here's a picture of Caleb at the end of his rope. He loves his new cousin Campbell, can you tell?
So, I have about 200 more pictures of the reception and the wedding, maybe I'll put the rest in a slide show. Caroline and Trent, congratulations and thanks for letting us be a part of your big day. We love you! Peace out.
