A Blessed Event

After we cleaned up from String Lake, we went to Jackson Lake Lodge to bless this little sweetie.
Sadie and her mom

Dan worked at the lodge a few years ago and attended the branch there. The branch president was thrilled when Dan and Abby asked if they could bless Sadie there. It was a very spiritual meeting and I really liked the testimonies and how most everyone expressed their love for the Tetons.

In addition to our family that attended, there were many other families that were there for family reunions. One of the other families that were there that day was the family of Elaine S. Dalton, the General Young Women's President. Sara, Rachel, Sydney and Emma recognized her right away and they were really excited to be in a testimony meeting with her. After Sacrament meeting, Brad walked up to Sister Dalton and introduced himself and the girls. He then told her that Rachel sang in the General Young Women's Conference back in March and what a great experience it was for her. Sister Dalton then said that that was one of the best group of girls that has ever sung in the choir. Then she looked at Rachel and said, "You got a haircut since then haven't you?" There were over 200 girls that sang in the choir and she recognized Rachel!
The girls were giddy with the opportunity that had in talking with Sister Dalton. It was Rachel's Aunt Laura that put it the best, "If Sister Dalton, who is the General Young Women's President, remembers you and loves you, can you imagine how much Heavenly Father loves you and knows you?" It gave me goose bumps.

After the meeting, we went outside to take a picture (or two, or twenty). It felt weird to be so dressed up in the Tetons but we look good, huh?
Since Trent hadn't arrived yet, Caroline borrowed Sadie to hold.

Kate, she likes to walk the line.
If you are ever in the Tetons and are Jonesing for a good pizza, I highly recommend Leeks Marina.

The pizza is great and there's the marina close by to visit.
Lu and Kate entertaining themselves with what has entertained children for centuries, rocks and sticks.
We took up most of the restaurant some of us ate outside and some ate inside.
What a great way to spend a Sunday evening!
