Can You Canoe?

We went to String Lake with a couple of canoes and a lot of enthusiasm. Some of us went out into the lake, some of us didn't.

Some of us couldn't keep the canoe afloat:

I wonder if Max had anything to do with the canoe capsizing?

A waterlogged watercraft will NOT thwart the adventure. I love how Bennett and Reagan are still sitting in the boat.
Ellery responsibly bringing the life jackets ashore.
Some of us were just happy splashing on the banks:
I would keep these two if their moms would let me.

Some of us explored Skull Island:

Much to Grampa's concern, some of us went out on the lake with no adult supervision in the canoe. (For the record, they were never any farther than 20 yards away from the shore and the water is about  a foot and a half deep there.)

Some of the dads went out on the lake to make sure all were safely gathered in.*
Brian and Brad being responsible.
and all of us had a good time.

*No kids were lost during the making of this post. The only thing that went missing is a single flip flop. Or would it just be called a flip? Maybe flop?

We just went to String Lake last month! I hope it wasn't as cold for you as it was for us, but it was sure beautiful!

That looks like so much fun! What a great trip. I'm relieved to hear that only a flip was injured.
